Qi Gong: WUJI Internal Arts Winter Series

An event every week that begins at 9:00 am on Saturday, repeating until March 29, 2020
The winter qigong series reviews the Fundamental Ji Ben Qi Form that builds strength, supports restoring the natural alignment of the body while establishing a solid foundation for regulating internal energy. If ready, students may advance to the Wu Xing five element form: fire, wood, metal, water and earth that govern the health of the body.
Utilizing the impulse of the Winter Season, the classes will focus on “ting” (to truly listen with one heart and one focus). In winter, the snow covered land brings a stillness and peace across the landscape which allows the body to rest and build up restoration of energy. We will continue exploring “sung” (letting go or relaxing) as it supports our ability to truly listen. We will deepen the experience of true listening by practicing wuji, breath work and sitting practices.
We will also continue refining and deepening our understanding and experiences with the second dragon, ‘Swimming Dragon.” This dragon emphasizes the water element, which is governed by the kidney and bladder channels. The kidneys are said to be the storehouse of our energy. All levels welcomed!
