Pipe Ceremony & Lakota Song Practice

This ceremony will be led following traditional Lakota teachings and will also include teachings and practice of Lakota ceremonial songs.

If you have materials at home, please create some prayer ties to bring with you.  if not, please try to arrive 15 minutes early so you can create some prayers ties here. We have materials and can teach you as well.

There are only natural substances, (e.g.) tobacco in the pipe. The pipe is a sacred instrument and an offering to help connect our prayers with the spirit world.

All are welcome as long as you come with an open mind and respectful heart.

There is no charge for this ceremony but donations and offerings are welcome. Offerings include food to share after the ceremony, tobacco for community use for prayer ties and offers, sage and cotton cloth (yard by yards strips of traditional colors).
