DESCRIPTION:Sit back and relax as Tibetan & crystal bowls (and other instruments) help bring you back into alignment thru sacred sound therapy. This is a great way to clear yourself and recharge for the week ahead. For those interested\, it can also assist in achieving deeper stages of meditation. \nThere will be a ceremony at 10:30am and another one at 5:30pm. \nDepending on the weather and temperature\, this ceremony will be held either outside under our large tent (with fans) or upstairs in the loft of our old church. Under either scenario\, we will practice social distancing. If inside\, we will also set up seating on the first floor in case anyone wants to practice an extra degree of social distancing. \nWe will also cap the number of attendees so please RSVP beforehand. \nTo help make this affordable to all\, we have an offering range of $15-$25. SUMMARY:Ecstatic Trance Posture Meditations
DESCRIPTION:All are welcome as long as you come with an open mind and respectful heart. \nDuring this group meditation\, practitioners will be introduced to specific ritual body postures\, which have been shown to facilitate experiences during meditation such as ecstatic trance\, healing\, divination\, and spiritual journey. We keep these events light and fun as we explore our relationship with meditation and ourselves in a supportive group environment \nJust as a crossed leg meditation helps to still the mind and yoga postures help to move energy through areas of your body\, select trance postures with accompanying audible beats (drum or rattle) are specifically used to enter an ecstatic trance state. While most meditations help to put you into an alpha state\, Ecstatic body postures help produce slower theta states\, which often results in practitioners experiencing very similar journeys. \nThis meetup will consist of an introduction to Trance Posture and the select postures chosen for the evening. There will be 2 to 3 meditations with time allocated afterwards for journaling and a group discussion. \nThe suggested donation is $15-$25. Event will be inside and capped at max of 10 people. SUMMARY:Embodied Sound Circle -Vocal Toning
DESCRIPTION:Vocal Toning is a unique form of meditation. It can be practiced in a group or alone. Group toning is energizing\, empowering and easy to do. \nParticipants create tones\, basic vowels sounds that resonate with themselves. In a group circle\, each person adds to his or her own tone to the mix\, which begins to build a tapestry of sound. This practice of breathing and creating communal sound is an intuitive\, joyful and playful practice that produces variety of energetic cleansing and healing effects. \nFacilitator\, Michael Gallelli\, a shamanic practitioner and sound activator\, will be facilitating this communal circle of Vocal Toning.
