SUMMARY:Shamanic Journey: Retrieve a Totem Animal
DESCRIPTION:Shamanic Journeying is a direct communion experience\, where one is guided to either the Lower World (Ukhupacha)\, the Upper World (Hanaqpacha) or through the Middle World (Kaypacha). Much of a paqo’s healing work is done in the Ukhupacha\, and this is where we will travel to connect with and retrieve a totem animal. Totem animals are animal spirit guides/allies who guide you along your walk\, your journey in Life. They have medicine\, wisdom to teach you as you journey around the medicine wheel. For example\, a deer may be assisting in opening to more gentleness and intuitive\, feminine wisdom. Some totems are for life\, others stay for a season. In this shamanic journey\, you will meet a totem animal and discover how this animal is guiding you in your life. Dress for the weather in case we are around the fire. Bring an eye covering\, journal\, and something to write with. And of course\, come with an open mind and curious\, respectful heart. \nNo Prior experience necessary. \nSuggested Offering: $15-25

DESCRIPTION:This Sweat lodge ceremony begins with helping to prepare the grounds.\nPlease show up in work clothes to help build the fire and clean up grounds. You will have the opportunity later to change into your sweat lodge attire. \nThis is poured following Lakota traditions. All are welcome as long as come with open/positive mind and respectful heart. \nTo go into the lodge\, please bring 1 or two towels and appropriate clothes to wear into lodge. Men should wear shorts and women should have long skirt and shirt covering shoulders. Traditionally\, you bring a small tobacco offering for the firekeeper and the intercessor. \nThere is no charge for this ceremony\, but each person should bring something to contribute to our potluck feast afterwards. Additionally\, here are other things our center would appreciate: \n1. Blue moving blankets (we are short on these and will need some to build the lodge)\n2. Firewood (aged and preferably split 23″ long)\n3. Rocks (suitable for heating in lodge)\n4. Sage\, Sweet grass\, Flat cedar\, Tobacco\n5. Personal Blankets\n6. Paperware (plates\, cups\, napkins\, utensils\, paper towels\, toilet paper)\n7. Candles (any size unscented)\n8. Cotton Cloth Strips (yards of traditional black\, red\, yellow\, white\, blue\, green\, purple)\n9. DESCRIPTION:Radical Soul Returns to bring you our very first ecstatic dance! The intention going into this first event is a celebration of Life! This is a chance to connect the body with music and connect our community in a time of so much division.\n\nThe idea of ecstatic dance is to move mindfully and give yourself over fully to the beautifully cathartic and powerful practice of dance in a shared experience. If this is your first ecstatic dance we invite you to come with an open mind and an respectful heart!\n\nCome join us for the meet and greet at 5 to connect with everybody\, from 5-6 Hila will be doing face and body paint\, then at 6 Becca will lead us in a cacao ceremony to open our heart and liven our spirit in preparation\, then Halsey will be DJing the ecstatic dance from 7-9!\n\nSuggested donation of $20-30 but nobody will be turned away for lack of funds.
