DESCRIPTION:RSVP is required. Please read this description in its entirety. \nThis is poured following Lakota traditions. All are welcome as long as come with open/positive mind and respectful heart. No prior experience is necessary. We will give an introductory talk\, review some songs and make prayer ties before going into the lodge. \nPart of this ceremony is the work we do beforehand to clean and prepare the grounds. So\, please show up in work clothes and bring work gloves. Don’t worry if you are physically unable to do manual labor. There’s always a way you can help out. If you have a rake\, chainsaw\, weed whacker\, maul\, or other tools\, please bring them just in case. There will be time before the ceremony to change into your sweat attire. \nThis is done with respect and in honor of the traditional ways\, to purify\, for the promotion and redemption of life and to honor and make relations with grandmother earth and our spiritual life. So\, please leave all ego and emotional baggage at home. No one person is more important than the other. This is about community and building relations thru this ceremony only. So\, please understand there is no need to bring crystals\, energy healing\, chanting or any other special gifts to add into this ceremony. We have many other events for those beautiful gifts. \nThere is no charge for this ceremony\, but we will have a bowl set aside for donations if you would like to offer a donation. Any donation goes directly to purchasing materials to support the ceremony and grounds. \nPlease understand that if this is your first time\, part of the teachings of this way of life our respect\, patience and generosity. DESCRIPTION:“Reiki” is Japanese for “Universal Life Force Energy”. As such\, Reiki is a system of natural healing in which the practitioner transmits life force energy (or Qi) into a recipients energy field and body to facilitate healing. This will include a good amount of actual guided practice between the students. \nThe process of becoming a Reiki practitioner(or master) happens over 3 levels of training. In Reiki Level one\, students are initiated into a greater connection to this life energy(through the attunement process) as well as the energy healing principles and precepts that come from the lineage of Dr. Mikao Usui. \nIn this course we will cover: \n\nWhat is Reiki?\nHistory of Reiki\nEnergetic cleanliness and protection\nThe Reiki Precepts\nSelf Healing with Reiki\nCreative ways to use Reiki to empower ourselves\nOffering treatments to others\nNo prior experience or certification. However this is also ideal for those who have received certifications in the past and want a refresher or more in-depth in person training.\n\nDuring this workshop each student will receive a Reiki Level One attunement. DESCRIPTION:Start your year by taking an artistic adventure in collage. Learn to create focus and intention along the way while visualizing and manifesting your New Year 2023 through shapes and color\, images and design. For this journey we will discuss how to draw simple shapes to start our adventure and use upcycled papers and boards. We will view several collage artists examples for idea generation\, discuss basic color theory and radial symmetry. You will leave with a new skill to continue creating collages on your own\, a complete or near complete collage and ample love and support. If time allows we will end with a finishing meditation. \nSupplies: sharp scissors\, pencil with eraser\, your soulful self\, imagination\, any light cardboards from food containers (cereal boxes etc.) We have tons but you may have something cool to incorporate.
