SUMMARY:Sweat Lodge Ceremony
DESCRIPTION:RSVP is required. Please read this description in its entirety. \nThis is poured following Lakota traditions. All are welcome as long as come with open/positive mind and respectful heart. No prior experience is necessary. We will give an introductory talk\, review some songs and make prayer ties before going into the lodge. \nPart of this ceremony is the work we do beforehand to clean and prepare the grounds. So\, please show up in work clothes and bring work gloves. Don’t worry if you are physically unable to do manual labor. There’s always a way you can help out. If you have a rake\, chainsaw\, weed whacker\, maul\, or other tools\, please bring them just in case. There will be time before the ceremony to change into your sweat attire. \nThis is done with respect and in honor of the traditional ways\, to purify\, for the promotion and redemption of life and to honor and make relations with grandmother earth and our spiritual life. So\, please leave all ego and emotional baggage at home. No one person is more important than the other. This is about community and building relations thru this ceremony only. So\, please understand there is no need to bring crystals\, energy healing\, chanting or any other special gifts to add into this ceremony. We have many other events for those beautiful gifts. \nThere is no charge for this ceremony\, but we will have a bowl set aside for donations if you would like to offer a donation. Any donation goes directly to purchasing materials to support the ceremony and grounds. \nPlease understand that if this is your first time\, part of the teachings of this way of life our respect\, patience and generosity. So\, there may be several reasons one might be asked to offer support and pray outside the lodge. Additionally\, one person will be needed to be the firekeeper. People are also welcome to come observe and support without going into the sweat lodge. \nTo go into the lodge\, please bring 1 or 2 towels and appropriate clothes to wear into lodge. Men should wear shorts and women should have long skirt and shirt covering shoulders. Traditionally\, you bring a small tobacco offering for the firekeeper and the intercessor. \nCEREMONIAL MEAL: Part of this ceremony is for the community to enjoy a meal after the sweat. DESCRIPTION:Back back popular demand\, Altruce will be leading another Reiki training and certification. \n“Reiki” is Japanese for “Universal Life Force Energy”. As such\, Reiki is a system of natural healing in which the practitioner transmits life force energy (or Qi) into a recipients energy field and body to facilitate healing. This will include a good amount of actual guided practice between the students. \nThe process of becoming a Reiki practitioner(or master) happens over 3 levels of training. In Reiki Level one\, students are initiated into a greater connection to this life energy(through the attunement process) as well as the energy healing principles and precepts that come from the lineage of Dr. Mikao Usui. \nIn this course we will cover: \n\nWhat is Reiki?\nHistory of Reiki\nEnergetic cleanliness and protection\nThe Reiki Precepts\nSelf Healing with Reiki\nCreative ways to use Reiki to empower ourselves\nOffering treatments to others\nNo prior experience or certification. However this is also ideal for those who have received certifications in the past and want a refresher or more in-depth in person training.\n\nDuring this workshop each student will receive a Reiki Level One attunement. This allows each student to connect with and channel greater levels of life energy to facilitate healing in oneself and begin to share this energy with others. \nReiki has been known to catalyze profound healings and transformations for many people across the planet on it’s own and it can be utilized to bolster and potentiate all other forms of healing\, which makes it an excellent ally to have in your healing tool bag. \nThere will be a short lunch break so please bring something for a snack during the break. This retreat is for serious seekers only as we will be going deep into meditation and discussion to develop a personal understanding of purpose. SUMMARY:Sweat Lodge Ceremony
DESCRIPTION:RSVP is required. Please read this description in its entirety. \nThis is poured following Lakota traditions. All are welcome as long as come with open/positive mind and respectful heart. No prior experience is necessary. We will give an introductory talk\, review some songs and make prayer ties before going into the lodge. \nPart of this ceremony is the work we do beforehand to clean and prepare the grounds. So\, please show up in work clothes and bring work gloves. Don’t worry if you are physically unable to do manual labor. There’s always a way you can help out. If you have a rake\, chainsaw\, weed whacker\, maul\, or other tools\, please bring them just in case. Also\, starting at 11am\, we will be building a new lodge this month. So\, please arrive promptly if you would like to learn. There will be time before the ceremony to change into your sweat attire. \nThis is done with respect and in honor of the traditional ways\, to purify\, for the promotion and redemption of life and to honor and make relations with grandmother earth and our spiritual life. So\, please leave all ego and emotional baggage at home. No one person is more important than the other. This is about community and building relations thru this ceremony only. So\, please understand there is no need to bring crystals\, energy healing\, chanting or any other special gifts to add into this ceremony. We have many other events for those beautiful gifts. \nThere is no charge for this ceremony\, but we will have a bowl set aside for donations if you would like to offer a donation. Any donation goes directly to purchasing materials to support the ceremony and grounds. \nPlease understand that if this is your first time\, part of the teachings of this way of life our respect\, patience and generosity. So\, there may be several reasons one might be asked to offer support and pray outside the lodge. Additionally\, one person will be needed to be the firekeeper. People are also welcome to come observe and support without going into the sweat lodge. \nTo go into the lodge\, please bring 1 or 2 towels and appropriate clothes to wear into lodge. DESCRIPTION:Join us in our large fire circle as we open our hearts with a cacao ceremony followed by a drum circle. \nCacao\, originates in Mesoamérica and is known to be one of the “Food of the Gods”. By intentionally connecting with Cacao\, we are making relations with Grandmother Cacao and the deep wisdom she expresses through her love and harmony. We will then take this one step further by using the rhythms of the drum to fully open our hearts to these sacred mysteries. \nThis is a great opportunity to release our tensions and worries in order to create the space for our higher selves to be revealed. This sacred ceremony will help all involved to ground and re-balance our energy fields while sending out restorative energies to grandmother earth. \nPlease bring a mug\, journal and a blanket.
