DESCRIPTION:In this 1 hour session\, Emily will guide us through a few different meditation techniques that tap into the wisdom of our bodies to release physical and mental tension. We will joyfully move to music\, with easy to follow\, flowy movements. For those not familiar\, Laughter yoga (Hasya yoga) is an exercise \nroutine that combines intentional laughter with deep belly breathing\, without any difficult \nmovements or relying on jokes or humor. If this is your first time joining for this ceremony here\, it is important you arrive no later than 1:30pm \nBeloved Community\, \nYou are warmly invited to join us for a sweat lodge ceremony. All are welcome who arrive with an open mind and a respectful heart. No prior experience is needed. We will begin with an introduction\, review some songs\, and create prayer ties before entering the lodge together. \nPreparation & Work Together \nAn important part of the ceremony is caring for the land beforehand. Please come in work clothes and bring gloves. If you have tools such as a rake\, chainsaw\, weed whacker\, or maul\, feel free to bring them. If physical labor isn’t possible for you\, there are always other meaningful ways to help. Time will be given to change into your sweat attire before the ceremony begins. \nAbout the Ceremony \nThis sacred tradition is typically held in honor of the Lakota ways—for purification\, renewal of life\, and deep connection with Grandmother Earth and Spirit. However we also invite in elders from other communities. thus teachings may come from other traditions as well. \nWe ask that you come with humility\, leaving behind ego and unnecessary burdens. All are equal here. Please understand this is a time for community\, and practicing opening our hearts. So there’s no need to bring in other practices such as crystals\, chanting\, or energy healing. That way\, it’s just you coming into the lodge \nThere is no fee to attend. You must also commit to staying in this ceremony area\, within our fire circle until the end of the ceremony when the gates are reopened. For those that can stay later\, we will then sit around the fire to share with one another what was experienced. \nThis ceremony arrived through a vision to help the participating group collectively connect to through the doorway provided by the equinox energies. This will be conducted in our large 7- foot fire circle area under the evening sky\, which is encircled by a ring of forest. \nWe will begin with setting and aligning attentions and then build the altar through our fire and tying off the doorways of the directional gates. \nAll participants will voluntarily rotate through the evening by participating in drumming\, dance\, prayer and fire scrying. \nThe intention of this ceremony is to open up and radiate a loving Bliss and in this shared consciousness to receive visions and inspirations to then share with the community at the end of the evening. \nAll are welcome as long as you come with an open mind and respectful loving heart. Please no Children under 14 or animals. \nIf you have a drum(s) that you are willing to share\, please bring it. Feel free to also bring a blanket and water (for afterwards).
