DESCRIPTION:We are celebrating our center’s 5 year anniversary and are inviting you to come join with us. \nFrom 2-9pm we will have music\, food and many community members offering their services\, gifts and products and discounted rates or on a donation basis. While this starts at 2pm\, please consider arriving at 1pm if you can to help set up and park your car up hill. \nThis is also a fundraiser for our center. There is no charge to attend because we want everyone to be able to come and celebrate. We sincerely thank each of you (whether you can come or not) for helping to shape our community and for sharing your medicine for our collective good. \nYou are welcome to invite your loved ones (children welcome but no pets please). If so\, please encourage carpooling because parking is limited\, and please ask each person to read this summary so they are informed. And if you are capable\, please park along the fence at the top of the hill  to walk down. That way we can leave parking for those that most need it. \nWhile there will be many types of offerings\, a short list includes reiki\, massage\, chakra healing\, dance\, drumming\, tarot\, etc. \nIf you would like to offer a service\, product or food\, please reach out to us to gain more info.  All offerings are deeply appreciated. \nYou are also welcome to camp over as long as bring a tent\, clean up your area afterwards and are mindful of noise after 9pm. SUMMARY:Sweat Lodge Ceremony
DESCRIPTION:RSVP is required. Please read this description in its entirety. \nThis is poured following Lakota traditions. All are welcome as long as come with open/positive mind and respectful heart. No prior experience is necessary. We will give an introductory talk\, review some songs and make prayer ties before going into the lodge. \nPart of this ceremony is the work we do beforehand to clean and prepare the grounds. So\, please show up in work clothes and bring work gloves. Don’t worry if you are physically unable to do manual labor. There’s always a way you can help out. If you have a rake\, chainsaw\, weed whacker\, maul\, or other tools\, please bring them just in case. We will be sectioning a number of trees this month for firewood and cleaning up the forest\, so please bring a chainsaw\, maul or rake if you can. There will be time before the ceremony to change into your sweat attire. \nThis ceremony is conducted with respect and in honor of the traditional ways\, to purify\, for the promotion and redemption of life and to honor and make relations with grandmother earth and our spiritual life. So\, please leave all ego and emotional baggage at home. No one person is more important than the other. This is about community and building relations thru this ceremony only. So\, please understand there is no need to bring crystals\, energy healing\, chanting or any other special gifts to add into this ceremony. We have many other events for those beautiful gifts. \nThere is no charge for this ceremony\, but we will have a bowl set aside for donations if you would like to offer a donation. Any donation goes directly to purchasing materials to support the ceremony and grounds. \nPlease understand that if this is your first time\, part of the teachings of this way of life our respect\, patience and generosity. So\, there may be several reasons one might be asked to offer support and pray outside the lodge. Additionally\, one person will be needed to be the firekeeper. People are also welcome to come observe and support without going into the sweat lodge. \nTo go into the lodge\, please bring 1 or 2 towels and appropriate clothes to wear into lodge. Men should wear shorts and women should have long skirt and shirt covering shoulders. Traditionally\, you bring a small tobacco offering for the firekeeper and the intercessor. \nCEREMONIAL MEAL: Part of this ceremony is for the community to enjoy a meal after the sweat. SUMMARY:Sweat Lodge Ceremony
DESCRIPTION:RSVP is required. Please read this description in its entirety. \nThis is poured following Lakota traditions. All are welcome as long as come with open/positive mind and respectful heart. No prior experience is necessary. We will give an introductory talk\, review some songs and make prayer ties before going into the lodge. \nPart of this ceremony is the work we do beforehand to clean and prepare the grounds. So\, please show up in work clothes and bring work gloves. Don’t worry if you are physically unable to do manual labor. There’s always a way you can help out. If you have a rake\, chainsaw\, weed whacker\, maul\, or other tools\, please bring them just in case. We will be sectioning a number of trees this month for firewood and cleaning up the creek\, so please bring a chainsaw if you can. There will be time before the ceremony to change into your sweat attire. \nThis is done with respect and in honor of the traditional ways\, to purify\, for the promotion and redemption of life and to honor and make relations with grandmother earth and our spiritual life. So\, please leave all ego and emotional baggage at home. No one person is more important than the other. This is about community and building relations thru this ceremony only. So\, please understand there is no need to bring crystals\, energy healing\, chanting or any other special gifts to add into this ceremony. We have many other events for those beautiful gifts. \nThere is no charge for this ceremony\, but we will have a bowl set aside for donations if you would like to offer a donation. Any donation goes directly to purchasing materials to support the ceremony and grounds. \nPlease understand that if this is your first time\, part of the teachings of this way of life our respect\, patience and generosity. So\, there may be several reasons one might be asked to offer support and pray outside the lodge. Additionally\, one person will be needed to be the firekeeper. People are also welcome to come observe and support without going into the sweat lodge. \nTo go into the lodge\, please bring 1 or 2 towels and appropriate clothes to wear into lodge. Men should wear shorts and women should have long skirt and shirt covering shoulders. Traditionally\, you bring a small tobacco offering for the firekeeper and the intercessor. \nCEREMONIAL MEAL: Part of this ceremony is for the community to enjoy a meal after the sweat.
