DESCRIPTION:Required. Please read this description in its entirety. We will be splitting wood and raking. if you have any\, please bring chainsaws\, axes\, rakes and safety items. If this is your first time joining for this ceremony here\, it is important you arrive no later than 1:30pm \nBeloved Community\, \nYou are warmly invited to join us for a sweat lodge ceremony. All are welcome who arrive with an open mind and a respectful heart. No prior experience is needed. We will begin with an introduction\, review some songs\, and create prayer ties before entering the lodge together. \nPreparation & Work Together \nAn important part of the ceremony is caring for the land beforehand. Please come in work clothes and bring gloves. If you have tools such as a rake\, chainsaw\, weed whacker\, or maul\, feel free to bring them. If physical labor isn’t possible for you\, there are always other meaningful ways to help. Time will be given to change into your sweat attire before the ceremony begins. \nAbout the Ceremony \nThis sacred tradition is typically held in honor of the Lakota ways—for purification\, renewal of life\, and deep connection with Grandmother Earth and Spirit. However we also invite in elders from other communities. thus teachings may come from other traditions as well. \nWe ask that you come with humility\, leaving behind ego and unnecessary burdens. All are equal here. Please understand this is a time for community\, and practicing opening our hearts. So there’s no need to bring in other practices such as crystals\, chanting\, or energy healing. That way\, it’s just you coming into the lodge \nThere is no fee to attend. A donation bowl will be available for those who wish to help support the ceremony and upkeep of the grounds. \nGuidelines & Attire \n\nPlease bring 1–2 towels and wear appropriate clothing:\nMen: shorts\nWomen: long skirt and a shirt covering the shoulders\nBring a small tobacco offering for the firekeeper and intercessor\nOther contributions are appreciated\, such as cotton cloth\, tobacco\, sage\, sweat grass.\nAt times\, some may be asked to support or pray outside the lodge. One person will also be invited to serve as firekeeper. Participation as observer and supporter is always welcome.\n\nCeremonial Meal \nAfter the sweat\, we will share a potluck meal together. DESCRIPTION:Spot Energy Chakra Healing with Sharon Sirkis \nDo you have a nagging ache or pain or wish you felt more present and grounded? Come experience a fast\, effective\, and different way of healing through the use of chakra symbology. A couple attendees during this event will have the opportunity to volunteer to get on the table for a healing/insight. Sharon will also be adding some new techniques to this month’s session. \nThis event will immediately follow our 11am Singing Bowl Sound Bath Meditation. You are welcome to join for both. \n  \nFACILITATOR BIO: Sharon Sirkis graduated from the University of MD in 1979 with a BS in Nursing. She is also a Reiki Master\, a certified Chakra Energy Healing Practitioner\, an accredited T’ai Chi Chih teacher\, a Black Belt in kenpo karate\, and a singer and firekeeper for Native American sweat lodge ceremony. \nSharon was led to study and assist with numerous classes in Chakra Energy Healing since 1998. She has also studied extensively at T’ai Sophia Institute for the Healing Arts (now MUIH)\, with Rosalyn Bruyere\, world renowned energy healer. \nSharon sees healing as a big puzzle\, and she finds that Spot Energy Chakra Healings including dialogue and insights are a much quicker and more effective piece of the puzzle. She agrees that healers are actually conduits for the energy that supports the body’s innate wisdom to heal itself\, although she considers herself to be an active contributor. Sharon believes her background has helped make her an extremely strong and grounded healer\, and also one who connects easily with clients because of her sense of humor and down-to-earth manner. \n  \nFIRST TIMERS: All are welcome as long as you come with an open/positive mind and respectful heart. Once you have joined us for an event\, you are welcome to text to confirm your spot. \nFIRST TIMERS: All are welcome as long as you come with an open/positive mind and respectful heart. No prior experience necessary. Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early so you can get situated. You are also welcome to walk our grounds or check out or crystal shop. \nIMPORTANT DIRECTIONS: The address is 15406 Riding Stable rd. Property is at end of 1/2 driveway into the woods. you will drive over a small stream. Please be EXTRA MINDFUL to drive slowly (under 10 MPH) as to not stir any driveway dust. It is a shared driveway so it’s important to respect our neighbors. Please do not stop to interact with horses. \nCOST: To help make this affordable to all\, we have an offering range of $15-$25.
